The PiQo4 Laser by Lumenis
Dual technology provides the best combination of settings to successfully remove
tattoos and pigmentation on all skin types.
What is the PiQo4?
PiQo4 is the most revolutionary laser technology available today for eliminating an array of skin imperfections and tattoo removal. The PiQo4 is the only non-thermal laser with four wavelengths and both nanosecond and picosecond pulse delivery. The highly focused light breaks up pigmentation and ink particles causing collagen formation that helps eliminate fine lines and wrinkles. By targeting the pigment at different levels of skin through adjustable penetration depths, and at various wavelengths, PiQo4 shatters pigment and ink particles without harming surrounding skin. The final result delivers rejuvenated even-toned skin with no downtime.
- Melasma
- Birthmarks
- Sun damage and brown spots
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Tattoos
- Freckles
- Hyperpigmentation and scarring
- General skin tone and texture
How PiQo4 works
Pico + Nano. First, the Nanosecond pulses are used to deliver short bursts of energy that break down the larger and deeper pigment or ink particles. Then, the area is rescanned with Picosecond pulses that dismantle the smaller and shallower particles. This combination yields far better results than using either one of the technologies on its own.
High Energy. The high energy levels of PiQo4 allow pigment/tattoo removal with fewer treatments compared with other competing laser systems. They can be set as either Nano or Pico, for dual pulse treatments.
Deep Reach. With PiQo4, your customers will appreciate the faster treatment results with shorter treatment sessions. PiQo4’s larger spot sizes allow deeper penetration into the dermis and better dispersal of the pigment or embedded ink particles.
4 Wavelengths. Each pigment color absorbs a specific wavelength – PiQo4 offers 4 wavelengths in order to treat the broadest range of pigment/tattoo colors, on the widest range of skin types. Its four wavelengths – 1064nm, 532nm, 650nm and 585nm – target the most frequently used tattoo colors ranging from light orange to dark black.
PiQo4: Tattoo Removal
Why Piqo4 for tattoo removal?
The PIQo4 is one of the most powerful picosecond lasers in the market with the best combination of settings for maximum versatility. Two cutting edge technologies are combined to clear more color in a faster treatment. This allows the PIQo4 to have the best color clearance, less ghosting, and faster results.
PIQo4 laser technology effectively removes all common color tattoos, either amateur or professional. The PIQo4 uses 4 wavelengths in order to treat the broadest range of pigment & tattoo colors, on the widest range of skin types. The laser only targets the ink, and will not harm the surrounding skin.
What should I expect?
The number of treatments needed depend on the tattoo itself, the area of the body and the background skin color. Location matter: The closer the tattoo is to the heart the better circulation, therefore better results. More colorful tattoos and greater surface area usually require more treatments. Amateur tattoos are typically not as deep as professional ones, and are easier to remove. Treatments can range from 2 treatments up to 10 treatments, which are typically scheduled 8-10 weeks apart.
During your session, you will hear the laser emit a loud, audible popping sound, then feel heat over the general area of the skin. The treated area will feel as if it were sunburned; tight and dry.
What can I expect after treatment?
Your laser technician will provide guidelines for before and after care, as well as the approximate time of the session.
Immediately after the treatment, you will often see a whitish “frosting” over the tattoo. The skin can swelling the area of the tattoo, accompanied by mild redness. The frosting, swelling, and redness will resolve in a matter of hours. The tattoo may crust or blister as the body repairs itself. This will resolve naturally. The tattoo will fade gradually in the following weeks as your body clears the ink.
PiQo4: Pigmentation
Why Piqo4 for pigmentary problems?
The PiQo4 provides a complete skin revitalization solution, enabling your physician to offer you remarkable results on a range of skin aging concerns such as age and sun spots, vascular lesions.
- Safe and quick treatments with noticeable results
- Minimal Discomfort or Pain. A lunch-time treatment with minimal downtown, allowing you to quickly return to your normal routine.
- Faster Results. Noticeable results for pigmentation, age/sun spots, texture, and overall skin appearance.
What should I expect?
The treatment works with your skin to stimulate deep collagen regeneration over a sequence of treatments. Already after the first session, you may begin to notice improvement in skin texture and pigmentation.
Optimal results are typically achieved after 3-5 sessions in 2-6 weeks intervals. However, you may continue to see improvements for up to six months following the treatment. Typically, about 3 sessions are needed to have a visible
improvement in the skin texture.
During your session, you will hear the laser emit a loud, audible popping sound, then feel heat over the general area of the skin. The treated area will feel as if it were sunburned; tight and dry.
What can I expect after treatment?
Every treatment is customized to your individual needs, and you’ll receive post procedure instructions from your laser
technician.
In general, you can expect your skin to have a pinkish tone for 1-4 hours, and brown spots to appear lighter in appearance on the day after the treatment.
We recommend patients to stay out of direct sun for a few days following the treatment and to apply sunscreen
Is the PiQo4 right for me?
PIQo4 laser tattoo removal treatments are not suitable for everyone and carry some risk. Patients known to form skin keloids may be more prone to scarring after any skin trauma, including laser administration to the skin. Persons with dark skin may be at increased risk of hypopigmentation. Hypo and hyper-pigmentation are a common risk of treatment.
